Bajaj Electricals Limited Bags Rs. 295 Million Outdoor Lighting Order

Mumbai, 7th December, 2007: Market leader Bajaj Electricals Limited, through their Engineering & Projects Business Unit has received a prestigious order worth Rs. 295 million for the outdoor illumination of the Multi-Model International Hub Airport coming in Nagpur through the Maharashtra Airport Development Company Limited (MADC).
MADC is developing a 4000 Hectare area at Nagpur divided into Airport Zone and Special Economic Zone, with road and rail terminals, captive power plant, residential, commercial and educational facilities. About 50 Kms of road network is being laid for which BEL has been selected for providing the complete outdoor illumination and also the operation and maintenance of the entire system for a period of 10 years. Galvanized Octagonal Street Lighting Poles and Highmast Lighting Systems including the SCADA system for Energy saving, etc, are envisaged to be provided.
BEL manufactures these galvanized poles and highmasts in their own State-of-the-art factory situated at Ranjangaon near Pune. The company is the market leader in the outdoor illumination systems including sports stadiums, highmast systems, street furniture, power plants illumination, rural electrification, transmissions lines, etc. The entire job is to be completed in a period of 18 months.
