Bainbridge Expands Product Line as Exclusive U.S. Distributor
CANTON, Massachusetts - Bainbridge International has extensively broadened their marine products line by securing the exclusive U.S. distribution rights of British based Allen Brothers Hardware.
Allen's line includes the widest range of sailboat hardware that combines reliability, efficiency and strength, with exceptional value. They have worked with the world's leading designers and sailors to create products suitable for dinghies and small yachts. From state-of-the-art dynamic bearing block systems, jib hanks, headboards, sail slides and cleats, right down to simple yet essential ball stoppers, you can look at most sailing dinghies today and find products designed and manufactured by Allen.
Pushing forward with the development of new products Allen Brothers and Bainbridge International are pleased to announce some of the latest offerings to the ever growing sailing fraternity;
High load Jib Upper- AL4302 and Lower Furler -AL4905- Designed with large dinghies and small keelboats in mind the all new furling system has been designed to provide a super smooth action even under high load by utilizing a multi level Torlon bearing system. With metal parts turned from a solid block of aluminum this system will also provide an unrivalled finish and reliability on the water.
Telescopic extensions- Available in two sizes short- AL5535 800 -1300mm and long- AL5530 1100- 1800mm. Combining a proven carbon/Kevlar composite these two materials are directly interwoven in a twill pattern to create the ultimate tube that is both strong, lightweight and will hold together if the worst happens (main tube OD 26mm, Inner tube 19mm).
Low Profile Shackle for mainsheet- AL4929- For use where the overall length of the mainsheet system needs to be minimized to allow a bigger range of adjustment. This shackle aims to bring the block as close as possible to its fixing point no matter the application. Width 20mm, Height 18mm, Pin Diameter 4mm, Weight 7 g.
Jib Traveller Car- AL4590- Finding use in a number of areas this traveller system is very adaptable finding use with jib, spinnaker and toe strap adjustment.
High load block with hook and becket- AL4393HK- Looking at the evolving design of rigs and the need for more rig tension we have created this block that is ideal for use on a rig tensioning system. With the addition of an integrated high load becket this block will be able to cope perfectly with the application.
Revised Trapeze rings- Listening to feedback from our team sailors we have decided to modify our AL4261 trapeze rings. The new fittings have seen the molded attachment point for the elastic replaced with a small stainless bar, the idea being with ever improving elastics increasing loadings on trapeze rings this will offer a super strong attachment point with a very negligible weight difference.
Carbon Tiller Extensions- AL5506- AL5525 Featuring the latest in carbon development our tiller extensions make use of new 20mm OD tube that features a high end construction method of laying up twill carbon over unidirectional fibers to give both stiffness and hoop strength that is a must have feature for preventing tube failure under high stress. These are all available in the same sizes as the previous carbon range.
