Makita's New 4-Stroke Backpack Blower Delivers Commercial-Duty Performance with Less Noise and Improved Fuel Efficiency
JULY 16, 2008 - La Mirada, CA - Makita USA, Inc., manufacturer of high quality industrial power tools and accessories, is proud to announce the release of its new 75.6 cc Backpack Blower (model BBX7600). The Makita-built 4-stroke motor is EPA Phase II, CARB Tier III Compliant while maintaining commercial-duty power and performance, with 53% longer run time per tank of fuel over traditional 2-cycle engines. The BBX7600 is also equipped with a large capacity muffler for quieter operation.

The powerful 75.6 cc commercial-duty 4-stroke engine requires no fuel mix, and will deliver up to 80 minutes of continuous operation on a 64 oz. fuel tank. The blower has lower fuel and oil consumption than other models in the class, but has commercial-duty performance, with a maximum air speed of 195 mpg and a maximum air volume of 526 cubic feet per minute. The decompression system ensures easy starting, and the oil filling port and drain plug are easily accessed for maintenance. In addition, the large capacity air filter improves dust control and helps extend the life of the engine.
The BBX7600 is compact and lightweight (22.6 lbs.) with wide straps and ventilated back panel for operator comfort, while the new handle-grip is located on the blower tube with a 4" adjustable position for easier control. In addition, the large capacity muffler ensures quiet operation: at 99.1dB, it has the lowest noise level in its class.
