AVX to Introduce New Products at EDS 2016
At EDS 2016, AVX will meet with channel partners, release two new connector series a new series of medical MLCCs, announce a new specification achievement, accept the three TTI Supplier Excellence Awards they earned for providing superior service throughout 2015
FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. – AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of passive components and interconnect solutions, will be attending the 2016 Electronic Distribution Show (EDS) May 10 – 13 at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. At the event, AVX will be announcing new passive and interconnect products, meeting with its various sales and distribution partners, and accepting the three TTI Supplier Excellence Awards they earned for providing quality performance and excellent customer service throughout 2015.
EDS, the premier annual event for global leaders of the international electronics industry, provides manufacturers and distributors of electronic components, instruments, and accessories with a unique opportunity to forge and maintain business relationships through one-on-one meetings, product exhibitions, educational programs, and networking opportunities. This year, EDS expects to showcase 600 distributor companies, 400 exhibiting companies, and welcome around 4,000 participating individuals. Participants include electronic distributors, suppliers that provide distributors with an array of electronic products and value-added equipment and services, and manufacturers of passive, electromechanical, and interconnect components, as well as instruments, datacom products, active components, and accessories.

AVX announcements currently scheduled for EDS 2016 include:
New poke-home reduced thru-wire and junction box WTW connectors that enable easy insertion and extraction, and exhibit maximum wire retention for 18 – 24AWG solid and stranded wire gauges, providing a compact and cost-effective alternative to WTW connectors with traditional crimp and poke terminations;
A new series of ultra robust and reliable vertical mate, 2mm-pitch battery connectors that eliminate the potential for end-users to inadvertently damage the contacts during mating;
An extremely versatile series of rigorously tested and medically-qualified MLCCs that enable next-gen electronic life support applications by providing medical device engineers with the utmost reliability and design flexibility;
And the latest news about AVX’s full range of space-level BME X7R MLCCs for use in US military and aerospace designs.
AVX will also accept three TTI Supplier Excellence Awards in recognition of its having successfully helped TTI build stronger partnerships, improve quality performance, and deliver excellent customer service throughout 2015 at the TTI Supplier Breakfast scheduled to place during on Wednesday, May 11. This year marks AVX’s second consecutive win in each of the company’s three regions: Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
