AVANTech Awarded Hanford Groundwater Treatment System

AVANTech, Inc. has received a purchase order to deliver two ion exchange systems for CH2MHill Hanford. Avantech is designing and manufacturing two 400 gallon per minute systems that will remove Technetium-99 (Tc-99) from contaminated groundwater on the Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford site. This system will also adsorb carbon tetrachloride, which is present as a contaminant in the groundwater. “We are proud to deliver a system that will improve the ability of the DOE to perform groundwater treatment. Our diverse skill sets enable us to bring a commercial approach to governmental and nuclear clients. This approach is cost and schedule efficient ” stated AVANTech President Jim Braun.
