Touring Ride, Crisp Handling is Dunlop's New Signature

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 3 / -- Dunlop announced today its newest passenger-car tire line at an independent dealer's conference.

The Dunlop Signature all-season tire is for standard and luxury passenger cars and is available now for dealer ordering. The touring tire is equally focused on enhanced handling and a quiet, comfortable ride.

"Think of it as a performance tire with attitude," said Tony Freund, Dunlop product manager in North America. "Most performance tires are for driving, and demeanor isn't even considered - until Signature."

Signature tires share technology with Dunlop's ultra-performance tires and still deliver the touring ride and feel. "Multi Pitch Tread Design technology is for driver and passengers alike. Varied sizes of tread blocks arranged in a diverse pattern create sound frequencies that cancel each other, helping to make the ride quiet," Freund said.

Ben Hyder, account engineer, said a stiffer high-performance all-season tread compound helps deliver outstanding tire performance at highway speeds. Improved bead seat technology helps deliver a tighter fit between the tire and wheel for a noticeably better ride.

Signature also features JointLess Band technology that helps maintain the tire's smooth performance at highway speeds, uniformity and long treadwear. VersaLoad Technology optimizes the tire footprint on the roadway for consistent handling, ride comfort and treadwear under various loading conditions.

Available in 28 popular sizes, Signature comes in three speed ratings. T speed-rated tires are backed by a 75,000-mile treadlife limited warranty; H and V speed-rated tires get a 60,000-mile treadlife limited warranty.

Andy Traicoff, Dunlop brand director, said, "This is another step in our continuing efforts to grow our customers' business. In the past 18 months, we have launched eight new or improved tire lines. There has never been a more exciting time than now to be a Dunlop tire dealer."

Dunlop is a global tire brand with an excellent reputation among performance car enthusiasts. Well known for its prestigious original-equipment fitments and sports car racing heritage, Dunlop is also a key supplier to sport compact enthusiasts featuring "tuner" tire sizes and race series sponsorships.
