Madison Heights, Michigan, May 4, 2006 - DE-STA-CO Robohand announces its Smart Linear Actuator (SLA) Modular Automation System, a completely integrated flexible automation solution that will improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
The precision engineered SLA Modular Automation System features DIRECTCONNECT(TM) technology, allowing for easy integration of Robohand pneumatic slides, grippers and rotaries. Further, the economical and fully integrated turnkey automation solution can be configured for any application specification.
Other outstanding SLA features include:
o Fully integrated servo/pneumatic motion control;

o Weld field immune electronics;

o Smart Motor technology - Integrated motor and drive; and

The SLA Servo Slide series is available in three different models (SLA-90, SLA-120 and SLA-150), with stroke lengths ranging from 100 mm to 1400 mm, and maximum stroke speeds ranging from 1 mm/s to 1100 mm/s. This series of programmable servo slides is one of the first in the industry to use Smart Motor technology.
