Automatic Thermic Valve prevents boiler shock.

Press Release Summary:

Operated by self-contained thermostatic element, TERMOVAR allows boiler temperatures to rise upon start-up by minimizing circulation through boiler until operating temperature is obtained. Minimized condensation of combustion products on fireside prevents premature corrosion of boiler and reduces possibility of thermal shock. TERMOVAR is available in sizes 1/2 to 2 in. with thermostat opening temperatures of 113, 131, 142, 162, and 176 °F.

Original Press Release:

Prevent Boiler Shock and Condensation with TERMOVAR

TERMOVAR is an automatic Thermic Valve, operated by a self-contained thermostatic element.

TERMOVAR allows the boiler temperature to rise quickly upon start-up, by minimizing circulation through the boiler until the boiler operating temperature is obtained. This minimizes condensation of combustion products on the fireside, preventing premature corrosion of the boiler. The possibility of thermal shock due to the return of cold water from the system is also reduced. TERMOVAR protects the boiler and extends boiler life!

INSTALLATION: TERMOVAR may be installed either in the SUPPLY or RETURN, with a balancing valve in the bypass line between TERMOVAR and the tee at the opposite end of the bypass.

SPECIFICATIONS: TERMOVAR is available in sizes 1/2" to 2" with thermostat opening temperatures of 113°F, 131°F, 142°F, 162°F and 176°F, and with three mounting options.
