Original Press Release:

Data I/O Announces New PSV7000 High-Performance Automated Programming System

The PSV7000 is the world’s premier automated programming system with the speed, flexibility and fast changeover to handle complex jobs at up to 50% lower cost.

Redmond, WA — Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ: DAIO), the leading global provider of advanced programming and IP management solutions for flash, flash-memory based intelligent devices and microcontrollers, announced today the release of the PSV7000 automated programming system.

“Customers around the world in wireless, automotive and consumer electronics markets are demanding the highest quality programming at lower costs,” said Anthony Ambrose, Data I/O’s President and CEO. “With industry-leading throughput, capacity, small parts handling, and versatility, the PSV7000 delivers on these demands and cuts the total cost of programming by up to 50 percent.”

The PSV7000 exceeds the most demanding programming requirements. The PSV7000 is capable of programming up to 2000 devices/hour with tray, tape or tube input, and is capable of handling the smallest programmable devices on the market, as small as 1.5 x 1.5 mm. Changeover times have been reduced by up to 75 percent compared to other systems. High-precision laser marking, 3D co-planarity, serialization and traceability software are available options to support the highest quality process requirements.

Utilizing Data I/O’s proven FlashCORE III programming engines, the PSV7000 can have up to 96 individual programming sockets installed and supports all device types, including FPGAs, CPLDs, Microcontrollers, and flash memories (including eMMC, NAND and NOR devices). Existing Data I/O customers can leverage their installed base of FlashCORE III adapters, software, and algorithms as well as the superior handling and I/O capabilities of the PSV7000. New Data I/O customers can take advantage of the world’s most reliable and trusted programming engine and the most advanced handling system. The combination of high throughput, fast changeover features, and extreme flexibility allows manufacturers using one PSV7000 to program what previously required multiple systems to produce.

The PSV7000 is available for evaluation now. The system will be shown publicly at the Productronica tradeshow in Munich, Germany this November 12-15.
