Automated Monitoring and Alarming for Blood Banks

Protect Your Vital Supplies and Send Your Data to the Cloud

CHESTERLAND OH - Increasingly, small-to-mid-sized bloodbanks in hospitals across the country are replacing their aging chart recorders as they become unreliable and parts become more difficult to find. Now CAS DataLoggers has the automated monitoring and alarming solution for your extremely temperature-sensitive supplies-our Accsense A2-05 Ethernet Wired Temperature Measurement Pods quickly connect to your facility's medical refrigerators and freezers to provide cost-effective monitoring for every unit. These Ethernet data loggers are highly accurate, securely encrypted in line with regulatory demands, and easy to use. Accsense systems provide monitoring and email/phone alarming to save you the hassle of storing and accessing the data on hardcopy, all for about the same cost as replacing a chart recorder.

Often, just one Accsense pod is capable of covering all your monitoring points. Each data logger has inputs for external sensors including 2 RTDs and a thermocouple; for example, it's easy to run an RTD probe out to a blood storage refrigerator and another to a reagent fridge. Accsense is also ideal for monitoring frozen plasma temperatures and other ultra-low supplies stored in medical freezers down to -200°C using the optional Type T thermocouple probe.

Each data logger includes a power adapter and Ethernet cables, supporting Power over Ethernet for a lower cost and easier maintenance compared to traditional wiring, saving you the price of a wireless gateway. In the event of a power failure or a network connection loss, these wireless pods will keep running for another 6 hours on their internal lithium batteries, automatically continuing to buffer data.

Personnel soon become familiar with every aspect of the system's simple operation. These cost-effective temperature monitors increase safety measures and decrease staff response times while automatically sending their data to the secure Accsense cloud servers so you can store and see the data whenever you want. Additionally, the system's turn-key operation replaces the need for expensive training sessions or IT department involvement--just plug in the pods and let them run.

With Accsense, your constant worries over regulatory concerns and manual temperature checking immediately become obsolete. The system's advanced alarm features enable email, text and even phone messages whenever your temperatures go out of specification. You can also login using any Web browser to retrieve reports and graphs or modify the system's configuration from anywhere you have an Internet connection.

You can also rely on FREE value-added tech support for your new monitoring and alarming pod. CAS DataLoggers will keep you informed throughout the selection process to help you get the best use out of your new system. CAS DataLoggers has provided its custom monitoring solutions for many clients including the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, New York Hospital Queens, Stanford Hospital and Clinics, the Smithsonian Institute, and the US Navy Medical Center, among many others.
