Objet Launches New Production-Ready Solution for High-Quality Hearing Aids
REHOVOT, Israel and FRANKFURT, Germany, November 27 -- Objet Geometries Ltd., the world leader in ultra-thin layer photopolymer jetting, today announced a new solution for fast and cost effective production of high-quality hearing aids. The Objet Hearing Aids Solution significantly reduces hearing aid makers' time and cost to market by combining easy to operate, high-speed production capabilities with uncompromising quality and versatility. Objet previewed the new system at the 5th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians, in Frankfurt, Germany, in mid October. It is now available for purchase.
The Objet Hearing Aids Solution is based on Objet's innovative PolyJet(TM) technology, which builds ear molds by printing ultra-thin 16-micron layers ultimately creating the exact 3-D structure required. This produces perfectly shaped hearing aid molds with exceptionally smooth, unmarked surfaces.
The solution is offered with three photopolymer resins designed especially for the unique needs of hearing aids: FullCure(R) 640 (clear), 660 (rose color) and 680 (skin tone). With the variety of resins, the ability to quickly switch between them, and easily removed gel-like support material, the Objet Hearing Aids Solution enables manufacturers to easily and cost effectively meet the unique needs of individual orders.
As a fully automated system that seamlessly integrates into existing production networks, the Objet Hearing Aids Solution provides manufacturers with a smooth transition to advanced digital manufacturing. The Solution provides numerous advantages over traditional analog manufacturing processes, including simplified logistics in which shipping of impressions is replaced by uploads of digital scans, easy and cost effective repeat orders, and streamlined training needs.
