AudioCodes and CTI2 Selected to Deploy FASTWEB's Enhanced Unified Communication & IPTV Applications


Deployment of Advanced Communication Services Enables 1 Million FASTWEB Residential and Business Subscribers to View and Respond to Multimedia Messages Via Television Screens

LOD, Israel and SAN MATEO, Calif., Nov. 6 / - AudioCodes (NASDAQ:AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice Network Products, and CTI Squared (CTI2), a leading developer and provider of Next Gen, value-added solutions for carriers and service providers, today announced that FASTWEB, Italy's second largest fixed telephony operator and the first player worldwide to develop an all IP network for Triple Play service delivery (voice, data, and video), is expanding its use of CTI2's InTouch(TM) platform, integrated with AudioCodes IPmedia(TM) Media Server, for advanced voicemail and unified messaging services.

FASTWEB will deploy AudioCodes-CTI2's upgraded IPTV messaging application. On top of this FASTWEB will make AudioCodes-CTI2's enhanced Unified Communication service available to its own customer base very close to 1 million clients as of today.

By incorporating CTI2's enhanced communication services with AudioCodes' Media Server capabilities, the companies offer a Next Gen innovative solution, providing advanced and customer-tailored services for residential and business users. CTI2 and AudioCodes offer a unique IPTV application allowing subscribers to view and respond to voice, email, and fax messages through their television sets. The IPTV application enables subscribers to receive on-line notifications on newly arrived messages while watching TV. Subscribers can then instantly enter their mailbox and navigate between all types of messages via a simple and intuitive user interface. The new version of the IPTV application incorporates enhanced messaging and mailbox management capabilities, enabling subscribers to satisfy all their needs from one source.
