The New Transmitters for the SKAA Wireless HiFi Audio Standard are Available at the SKAA.com Store; Akiko Has a 3.5 mm Analog Input, While Talisa is Available for Dual Format S/PDIF Digital Inputs (Optical or Coax)



EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada, – Eleven Engineering, Inc. (www.elevenengineering.com), a market leader in semiconductor products for wireless audio for home theater, multi-room, portable, professional, 12 Volt (car, truck, motorcycle, power sports, marine) and gaming applications, is proud to announce that launch of the new Talisa (MSRP: $79.99 USD) and Akiko (MSRP: $79.99 USD) audio transmitters, now available at the SKAA.com store.



“Talisa and Akiko are designed primarily for use with TVs or laptops with either Talisa’s digital audio S/PDIF optical (Toslink) or coax input, or Akiko’s 3.5 mm analog audio input, and can broadcast to any SKAA equipped speaker,” explained Rex Whitehead, Eleven Engineering Director of Sales, North America. “And, you can also teach your Talisa and Akiko how to listen to your TV remote control…your remote will then control Volume and Mute of all SKAA speakers you’ve got bonded to your transmitter.”



SKAA is the new wireless HiFi audio standard developed by Eleven Engineering, Inc. “There’s no pairing required for Akiko and Talisa,” added Whitehead. “Akiko works with virtually all stereo analog audio source devices, both line-level-out and headphone-out sources. Talisa works with all optical and coax S/PDIF audio source devices that output uncompressed stereo PCM audio at either 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz. With SKAA, the receivers (speakers / headphones) are in charge of selecting which transmitter to listen to.”



Talisa and Akiko both don’t require Wi-Fi, and both have incredibly low latency. Both also have an indoor range of 35 meters (more than 100 feet), while the outdoor range can be exceeded. Talisa and Akiko can send audio to up to four SKAA speakers, receivers, and/or headphones at the same time (compare that with standard Bluetooth which can only send audio to one, solitary device) with audio quality at 480 kbps (compare to iTunes Store standard 256 kbps). They both also have no internal battery of their own as they get their required power from the connected device. You can use up to five SKAA transmitters in the home at the same time….that’s up to 20 speakers at once. Both Talisa and Akiko ship free with SKAA OS 2.4 (and work with all receivers running SKAA OS 2.1 or newer).
