Attune Systems to Offer Free Trial Software Version of Its NAS Virtualization Solution

Windows-Based Trial Software for Maestro File Manager(TM)

SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 19 / Attune Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise-class network file management solutions, today announced the availability of free Windows-based trial software for its NAS virtualization appliance. The software uses the same graphical interface, configuration and controls as Maestro File Manager FM5500(TM) appliance and allows partners and potential customers to install a portion of the Maestro code, for experimentation and familiarization, on their own existing platforms in non-production environments.

The Maestro File Manager is the only independent Windows-based NAS virtualization appliance available today, which leverages off-the-shelf hardware and provides native CIFS support of Windows servers and NAS devices. Maestro helps IT administrators discover, analyze, manage and optimize their existing storage resources by virtualizing shares/exports while minimizing the deployment risk.

"Our powerful, low-risk offering for Windows servers, file servers and NAS environments is a great tool for those SMB and enterprise IT departments needing to reduce management complexity and costs," said Alan Kessler, Attune's chief executive officer. "With Maestro, customers get the most gradual, flexible and non-disruptive deployment options of any NFM solution on the market today. Attune is pleased to be able to leverage our off-the-shelf hardware design and Windows-based architecture to provide users and resellers the opportunity to get familiar with this leading-edge technology. We are convinced that this trial mode will accelerate familiarity and confidence, thereby shortening the overall sales cycle and allowing the company to continue to scale rapidly."

The Maestro software also benefits resellers by further reducing the sales cycle through in-depth prequalification and assessment by customers on their own PCs, helping to fill the partner pipeline with strong customer candidates.

Qualified customer candidates with platform resources that meet the profile software's minimum system requirements will be eligible for software trial or a full appliance system for evaluation. The evaluation can be requested on Attune's website at www.attunesystems.com/trial_software_request.html.
