ATK to Feature Titanium Propellant Tanks at Joint Propulsion Conference & Exhibit

This Year Marks 50th Anniversary of ATK's Commerce Facility

ARLINGTON, Va. --  ATK (NYSE: ATK) will exhibit its titanium propellant tank capabilities at the 49(th) American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Joint Propulsion Conference in San Jose, Calif., at the San Jose Convention Center July 15-17.

During the conference, ATK will showcase designs for integrated tanks and structures used in military, scientific and commercial satellites, space-launch vehicles, and space-exploration vehicles. ATK has more than 500 designs qualified and has delivered more than 5,800 tanks with 100-percent reliability.

"ATK propellant tanks have landed on Mars, Venus and the Moon, and have visited every planet in the solar system," said David Shanahan, vice president and general manager of ATK's Space Components division. "They have also been a part of nearly every large U.S. launch vehicle and geosynchronous earth-orbit satellite."

ATK's propellant tanks are designed and manufactured at the company's facility in Commerce, Calif., which has been operating since 1963. Over the past 50 years, this facility has built a worldwide reputation as a leader in pressure tank manufacturing and design.

"As we celebrate our 50(th) anniversary this year, we are pleased to be showcasing our highly engineered products at the Joint Propulsion Conference," said Shanahan.

The Joint Propulsion Conference focuses on identifying and highlighting how innovative aerospace propulsion technologies powering both new and evolving systems are being designed, tested and flown.
