AT&T Selected by Bucher, Willis & Ratliff Corporation for New Network Services Contract

BWR Advances Applications, Incorporates VoIP Using AT&T Network Services

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 30 -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced a two-year contract to provide a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) capable network to Bucher, Willis & Ratliff Corporation (BWR), an engineering, planning and architecture firm with headquarters in Kansas City, Mo., and with seven locations across the country.

Under the terms of the contract, AT&T will serve as the primary network and data services provider to BWR, integrating AT&T Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Private Network Transport (PNT) service to BWR's seven locations, including the company's headquarters.

AT&T MPLS PNT is a fully managed network solution that will allow BWR to utilize VoIP technologies and applications for improved reliability, scalability and redundancy in the transmission of large data files across the company network. The solution will also support the timely delivery of time- sensitive voice and data files.

This solution, which is in alignment with AT&T's customer-focused convergence strategy, will connect BWR's headquarters with its six remote locations, providing a consolidated network that will improve communication companywide. The network will also have the flexibility to support future growth and advanced high-bandwidth applications.

BWR also selected AT&T to host its Managed Internet Service for a dedicated Internet connection that is highly reliable and highly available. The new MPLS backbone offers increased bandwidth, which will allow BWR to transfer large files between locations and to streamline the move to VoIP.

"BWR wanted a cost-effective solution that would enhance our network and allow us to take advantage of advanced VoIP applications," said William Ford, director of information technology, BWR. "The solution provided by AT&T will give us the bandwidth we need with the flexibility to expand our applications as we continue to grow our business."
