SAN JOSE, Calif. – Cavium, Inc. (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications and the digital home, today announced that ASUS Miracast dongle wireless display adapter uses Cavium's market-leading PureVu CNW6611L media SoC to enable superior media streaming and mirroring capabilities, compatible with ASUS's latest tablet models. The tablet and adapter pair are optimized to use both mirroring and DLNA to maximize user experience and battery life for tablets - mirroring enables highly interactive content at low latency, while DLNA enables content rendering without compromising quality and battery life. Live demonstrations of the ASUS MeMO Pad FHD10 and the new media adapter will be available at ASUS's Booth, TWTC NanGang from June 3rd through June 6th.

"ASUS is one of the leaders in Android and Windows tablet market always bringing cutting edge products to consumers," said Brian Tang, Sr. Director, Product Marketing. With Cavium, we are able to extend beyond just mirroring giving us the flexibility to provide a better user experience within the market timeframe we were looking at for our launch."

The high performance media processing engine of CNW6611L SoC provides the flexibility to decode and display a wide range of high quality content. Leveraging Cavium's industry leading technology in low latency video processing, the ASUS's new adapter offers optimized end-to-end latency at 1080p resolution to provide the consumer seamless interactivity for applications such as gaming. Still within USB-power budget, ASUS's new Miracast dongle media adapter is a must-have accessory for ASUS MeMO Pad FHD10 users.
