Ivara Corporation Announces Release of Ivara EXP 5.0

BURLINGTON, ON (December 18, 2006) -Ivara Corporation, an industry leader and innovator in asset reliability solutions, today, announced the release of Ivara EXP 5.0, the latest version of its reliability software solution. Ivara EXP is an enterprise system that supports an equipment reliability process. EXP is used to develop, implement and monitor the effectiveness of asset reliability programs - the proactive tasks for optimal maintenance of each asset. EXP consolidates, analyzes and manages all asset health information. As inspection data is collected, EXP identifies potential failures and recommends the right maintenance task to be executed at the right time, improving maintenance productivity and extending asset life.

Ivara EXP 5.0 offers users new and enhanced reliability capabilities to implement and sustain equipment reliability. And with improved flexibility and tailorability, the solution is easier to use and delivers powerful levels of control. EXP 5.0 offers advanced statistical analysis at the component, equipment and plant level providing customers with greater insight into the state of asset health and ensuring continuous improvement of reliability programs.

New EXP 5.0 features include:

Advanced Statistical Analysis and KPIs for Failures
Ivara EXP 5.0 provides advanced statistical analysis capabilities to proactively track and analyze full, partial and potential failures. Beyond the analysis of failure data from CMMS/EAM, with EXP reliability software, the focus is on automatically tracking potential failures and thus avoiding full functional failures. The software also measures the savings gained by avoiding failures. KPIs can be leveraged to make informed decisions to continuously improve the reliability programs of similar assets across multiple plants or fleets.

Ivara Remote
Ivara Remote is a new, powerful version of the Ivara solution empowering remote users with critical reliability and maintenance software tools on a platform that is disconnected from the main Ivara system. Ivara Remote provides a user friendly interface and functionality on a Tablet PC Platform including a fully functional Ivara framework with full security and definability. Features include downloading assets and their reliability programs, conducting inspections, and creating work requests and work orders. A simple synchronization process uploads transactions and downloads new data from the main Ivara system.

RCM2(TM) Analysis
Users can now perform and record Reliability Centered Maintenance analyses directly in EXP 5.0. The solution will allow users to define functions, develop action plans, view decision diagrams, and document the analysis. Ivara EXP implements RCM findings and delivers an operating reliability program.

Reliability Program Implementation
Ivara's new Reliability Program Implementation Assistant simplifies the process of implementing RCM and ensures its completeness. The wizard tool allows users to review asset health indicators and deploy them more quickly and with more diligence to existing and new reliability programs. The RPI Assistant walks users through the selection of options and then automatically implements user choices.

Ivara EXP Integration With Maximo®
Using new integration framework features, users of EXP and MRO Software's Maximo Enterprise Suite can now seamlessly exchange required information to drive reliability improvements.

Several enhancements have also been added to EXP 5.0 including:

Maintenance Task Analysis
Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) is Ivara's unique work identification methodology that helps organizations build and implement reliability programs for plant assets. EXP 5.0 offers richer and more in-depth MTA capabilities such as the ability to link a standard job to a maintenance action plan and define an asset's operating state. The features allow for a more seamless and efficient deployment of MTA.

Ivara EXP Integration With mySAP(TM) PLM
The Netweaver certified integration between EXP and mySAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) upgraded to EXP 5.0, providing a full featured reliability front-end to SAP's plant asset management capabilities.

"This release is a significant milestone in the evolution of our product strategy and demonstrates our commitment to addressing our customer's key priorities," says Gerry Bleau, president and CEO, Ivara Corporation. "EXP 5.0 offers Ivara customers improved analytics, flexibility and advanced reliability capabilities to better manage the increasing volumes of asset health data to improve reliability and drive bottom line results."
