Arlink Optoelectronic Assembly Workstations

Arlink Workstation Systems (Burlington, Ontario, CA) has introduced a system of workstations adapted specifically for assembly of optoelectronic products and devices.

Based on Arlink's award winning S8000 system, Arlink Optoelectronic Assembly Workstations achieve excellent vibration isolation at the worksurface while providing users with all the advantages of Arlink's Vertical Space Management system. The system's design helps minimize vibrations from floor traffic, moving and rotating tools or motors, parts storage and tool racks, and from material handling activities.

According to Ray Gottsleben, VP of Sales and Marketing, "Arlink has supplied thousands of workstations designed specifically for optoelectronic assembly tasks. Through this work, we have developed some standard system architectures that we then tailor to the customers' exact requirements. Many customers assembling
optoelectronic products utilize proprietary processes or equipment, and our ability to create an assembly workstation that addresses their unique needs is important to them. There still remains many barriers to automation of the optoelectronics
assembly process, and workstations will continue to be an important tool in the effort to improve yields in what is and will continue to be, a largely semi-automated process, at best."

Two fundamental system concepts allow users to select the one that meets their price/performance criteria. Workstations may be complemented with accessories to store and present specialty equipment, tools, and parts according to the specific requirements of the application or customer.

Arlink is a global leader of multi-functional workstations and technical furniture systems. Arlink products provide productivity solutions in system assembly, computer work centers, testing stations, and laboratory and training environments. All Arlink products have easily interchangeable components and accessories, increasing flexibility and adaptability throughout the workplace.
