ASME Heat Exchanger Manufactured by BEPeterson for Nylon Process System



BEPeterson manufactures an ASME Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger as part of multi-vessel contract for a nylon process installation.



The vessel dimensions were 22" OD x 81.5" Straight Tube Length.



The vessel and U-tube material of construction was SA-240-316L and SA-249-316L. The vessel was designed to 230 psi @ 600° F and Full Vacuum with an external jacket design of 86 PSI @ 600 Deg F.



The tube-to-tubesheet joints were welded and expanded per TEMA tolerances and liquid penetrant tested (PT).
