Vimicro Launches Application Processor and New Mobile Platform Based on Windows Mobile
BEIJING, Feb. 11 -- Vimicro Corporation (NASDAQ:VIMC), a leading fabless semiconductor company that designs advanced mixed-signal multimedia products and solutions, today announced the launch of its most recent high-performance application processor, Vinno-III (VC0818) and an open mobile platform, Vinno-III-Win, based on Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system when attending Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, Spain. The new application processor and open mobile platform was launched to provide a lower cost option for smart phones and increase its popularity.
