OptiCon System New Inside and Outside

GOEPEL electronic's AOI System with new Design and System Software

GOEPEL electronic's AOI system OptiCon BasicLine is now available in a new design. In addition to its appealing shape, it is particularly attractive by improvements for maintenance and service.

The enhanced system concept continues to provide additional opportunities for customer-specific integrations and adaptations, emphasizing the AOI systems' increasing flexibility.

Significant improvements in terms of convenient operation have also been incorporated in the latest version of OptiCon PILOT (5.2) the integrated AOI system software.
This release of software enables new components on the PCB under test to be automatically identified and assigned to the respective library entrees during inspection program generation.

The CAD import has been further enhanced to allow Gerber data to define inspection parameters including placement according to the required IPC class, independent from the pad dimension. Additionally, the extra data received by using Gerber data provide helpful information for fast analysis of import errors as well as automatic adjustment of inspection parameters.

OptiCon PILOT 5.2 naturally features the extraordinary easyOCR(TM) function for automatic text reading of labels on components (e.g. on ICs, chip resistors and PCBs) without prior learning. The only operator action is drawing a frame around the text to be read.

A further priority in this software version is the flexible data communication enhancing the integration with traceability and MES systems. In addition to freely configurable export variants, a bi-directional communication is possible.
