Anti Corrosion Clamp serves in offshore applications.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for use with stainless steel tube and pipe, ACT Clamps protect against crevice corrosion in salt water and other corrosive environments of underwater and topside applications. Anti-corrosion elastomer strips firmly hold tube while eliminating gaps that seawater can penetrate. Integrated drainage channels promote free flow of seawater, eliminating stagnant pools that can lead to corrosion. Suited for continuous exposure from -13 to +194 °F, clamps come in pipe diameters from ¼–1 in.

STAUFF Introduces ACT Anti Corrosion Technology Clamp for Offshore Applications

WALDWICK, NJ — ACT Clamps from STAUFF protect against crevice corrosion in salt water and other corrosive environments. Designed for use with stainless steel tube and pipe, ACT clamps from STAUFF can be used for both underwater and top-sideapplications.

Crevice corrosion is a problem when seawater is trapped in gaps between conventional clamps and the pipe or tube.

STAUFF ACT Clamps utilize anti-corrosion elastomer strips to firmly hold the tube while eliminating gaps seawater can penetrate. Integrated drainage channels allow seawater to flow freely, eliminating stagnant pools that can cause corrosion.

The stainless steel mounting hardware and corrosion-proof clamp body made of flame-retardant PPV0 plastic material complete the design. The clamp body provides UV stability and is resistant against seawater, rain and oil. The mounting hardware is made of Stainless Steel V4A (Material Code: W55) with enhanced corrosion resistance.

STAUFF ACT clamps have been extensively field-tested in the Dutch North Sea and have been independently tested and approved.

Suitable for continuous exposure to temperatures from -13 °F to +194 °F (from -25 °C to +90 °C), STAUFF ACT clamps are available in most commonly used pipe diameters from 1/4 inch to 1 inch (6 mm to 25.4 mm).

STAUFF ACT clamps are easy to install and provide mid- and long-term cost savings through reduced maintenance requirements.
