Another Strategic Large-scale Order for 3D Machine Vision Products

ISRA VISION AG: Premium Automotive Manufacturer Places Order Over Several Million of Euros

ISRA VISION AG (ISIN: DE 0005488100), one of the world's leading companies of industrial image processing (Machine Vision), global market leader in surface inspection systems, and one of the internationally leading providers for 3D Machine Vision solutions, has received a strategic large-scale order from a leading German automotive manufacturer in the range of several million euros. The order placement for products for precise 3D quality measurement in car body manufacturing is part of a total package in the amount of significantly more than 10 million euros. The first part of this order over approximately 5 million euros will already contribute to the revenues in this financial year.

The current order underscores the strategic relevance of 3D Machine Vision applications in automobile manufacturing. A similar strategic large-scale order over several million euros has already been concluded with another German premium manufacturer in 2011. The technologically leading products for precise 3D quality measurement play an important economic role in automobile manufacturing and are being utilized at an early stage in car body manufacturing. The use of Machine Vision systems at this point of the manufacturing process secures the quality for the subsequent process steps and contributes to a productivity increase in manufacturing. Furthermore, the automotive industry benefits from cost-saving potentials through an increasing degree of automation. With the most recent strategic order, ISRA is expanding its market position and confirms its position as one of the leading providers of 3D Machine Vision.

Following the successful business development in the first half of the year, ISRA started the second half of the year with a current order backlog of more than 48 million euros. Another larger order is currently in an advanced negotiating stage whose conclusion is expected in the near future. To increase the order entry dynamics in the second half of the year as forecast, the company continues to intensely focus on the activities in worldwide sales and marketing. The current large-scale order as well as the promising negotiations over additional 3D Machine Vision applications for the automotive industry are another step in the direction of the company's goal to surpass the mark of 100 million euros in the medium term.
