Dortronics Expands Capacity of Popular 7600 Series Annunciators

Greater Capacity Available For Large Scale Access Control Applications.

Las Vegas, NV (April 6, 2005) - Dortronics Systems is displaying the company's feature enhanced 7600 Annunciator Series here at ISCW 2005. The versatile modular system is expandable in four and eight zone increments with custom panels available for console or rack mounting in four zone increments. When fully configured, the 7600 Annunciator Series can be configured to provide precise monitoring and control of over 100 doors/zones.

"As security systems continue to grow in size and complexity, Dortronics is keeping pace with the industry's demands by providing new and enhanced systems products," said John FitzPatrick, Vice President, Dortronics Systems, Inc. "Our new 7600 series annunciator is ideal for more complex access control applications because of its large scale capacity and feature-rich capabilities."

The 7600 Annunciator Series displays the status of each zone with tri-state LEDs that report the following door conditions: secure (door closed and locked); shunted (door closed and unlocked); access (door opened with authorization); alarm (door forced or held open); tamper (door unsecured); and acknowledged (acknowledged alarm). Regardless of the alarm status of the zone, the position of any door is always indicated.

The 7600 Annunciator Series is compatible with most NFPA approved delayed egress systems, including the Dortronics Systems EDR System 101. Doors can be remotely unlocked from the console and authorized entry and egress operations can be performed and monitored via an access control system or REX device.

Any unauthorized exit attempts will create an alarm condition at the door and be reported on the 7600 Annunciator Series which remains in an alarm state until acknowledged. Detected tampering or magnetic bond failures are also reported as alarms in each zone. When used in conjunction with a Dortronics' 7200-PT Series Door Prop (see related release), feedback on doors left unsecured is provided.

Optional accessories for the 7600 include a key switch to limit door release, a zone alarm shunt for authorized personnel and an alarm alert sounder.
