Original Press Release:

Core Technology Targets Broad Market with New Circuit Sleuth® Network / Impedance / Frequency Response Analyzer

Willow Grove, PA, September 8, 2004, Core Technology Group today announced the introduction of the newly enhanced Circuit Sleuth 2.0 Swept Sine Wave Frequency Response Analyzer. The all new Circuit Sleuth SA Series, combines the latest in Patent Pending high performance DSP technology, highly efficient and elegant design and intuitive, yet powerful Windows(TM) compatible "Virtual Front Panel" control and reporting software, to provide a compact, accurate and cost effective wide-band frequency response and impedance measurement tool. Enhancements include a software Probe Compensation function, expanded graphic display and test mode options, and USB Support.

The Circuit Sleuth is typically used in gain/phase measurement of closed-loop control systems, including power-supplies and motion control / servo systems. Additionally, Impedance characterization of various components including inductors, transformers and capacitors, etc..., the frequency response of filters and RF and Audio amplifiers and systems, battery/fuel cell output impedance vs. frequency, and vibration analysis of mechanical systems all fall within the scope of the Circuit Sleuth's test capability.

There are three models to choose from, based on the frequency range required. Frequency range capability for the Model SA-01 is 10 Hz to 1 MHz, while the Model SA-10 adds increased capability of from 1 Hz to 10 MHz. The top line Model SA-40 expands operation all the way into the 0.1 Hz to 40 MHz range. And, the Circuit Sleuth is truly portable, the compact and rugged aluminum encased unit, at less than 2 lbs, is small and light-weight enough to fit into a standard briefcase or laptop bag.

With prices ranging from $4,500 to $6,700 complete, the affordable Circuit Sleuth SA Series systems have the power of significantly more expensive test equipment, with the added benefit of being portable and easy to setup and use. Delivery is 30 days A.R.O. Quantity/University discounts are available.

All models include a Circuit Sleuth Analyzer Unit, Power Supply, Serial Cable, Circuit Sleuth 2.0 Windows(TM) compatible VFP Software on CD and an Instruction Manual with Application Notes.
