Analyzer calculates contaminant concentration of liquids.

Press Release Summary:

PetroCAM© oil analysis instrumentation integrates imaging, measuring, and reporting of droplet and particle concentration into single system. Hi-res digital images of suspended oil droplets, grains of sand, or other fluid-borne particles are displayed in interactive scattergram for instant review, differentiation, and analysis. Flow cell accommodates pressures up to 2,500 psi to permit operation at wellhead without altering pressurized state of sample.

New Petrocam© Oil Analysis Instrumentation Integrates Imaging, Measuring and Reporting of Droplet and Particle Concentration in Single System

PetroCAM To Be Unveiled At Offshore Technology Conference - OTC - Booth P10807

Breakthrough PetroCAM Images Every Oil Droplet, Grain Of Sand, Solid Particle

Edgecomb, ME: Fluid and particle analysis instrumentation firm Fluid Imaging Technologies, Inc., Edgecomb, Maine (www.fluidimaging.com) has introduced the PetroCAM©, a breakthrough for oil production that documents the concentration of oil, grease, water, sand and other particles and contaminants in liquids. To be unveiled at the Offshore Technology Conference booth P10807 on May 1st in Houston, the PetroCAM automatically takes hi-res digital images of each individual oil droplet, grain of sand and/or other fluid-borne particle suspended in samples and displays them in an interactive scattergram for instant review, differentiation, and analysis. The PetroCAM calculates the concentration of oil and other particulates in the sample, enabling production, engineering and environmental compliance personnel to monitor the process conditions, verify the effectiveness of treatment and comply with environmental regulations.

The PetroCAM flow cell accommodates pressures up to 2,500 psi to permit operation at the wellhead without altering the pressurized state of the sample or compromising the integrity of the resulting data. Ideal for analyzing droplets of oil in water, water in oil, and other particles in fluids, the PetroCAM excels in a wide range of applications upstream, downstream, in transportation and in laboratory environments.
