Vertex Standard Enhances VX-260 Radios Series with Greater Features

New enhancements offer right balance of quality, value

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- Vertex Standard LMR, Inc., a leading manufacturer of two-way radios, today announced an enhanced version of its VX-260 analog series of radios, providing a greater array of features for the maximum value. The series is targeted for customers across a broad range of areas including security, factories, hotels and building management. The updated series was introduced at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) earlier this month.

The feature-rich VX-260 Analog Series VHF/UHF portable radios will include enhanced audio output, expanded interoperability, programmable emergency alert and a universal battery system. The inclusion of the universal battery system or "UNI" allows users to consolidate down to one battery and charging platform for their Vertex Standard fleets.

New models include the VX-261, with 16 channels and two custom-programmable keys, and the VX-264, with 128 channels, six custom-programmable keys and embedded voice inversion encryption.

"They deliver what customers need: a complete solution that is cost-effective, increases audio quality, uses a universal battery system and expands the interoperability of MDC 1200® and FleetSync®*," said Mike Gray, North America LMR sales vice president, Vertex Standard. "The key to our compact, feature-rich radios is that it gives our customers the power to connect without compromise. We target this series for a wide variety of customers who are looking to improve efficiency. Our improved series will prove greater value and technical capabilities, thereby improving operations."

Vertex Standard also released a wide array of accessories to complement the complete portfolio.
