Analog Splitter divides transmitter signal.

Press Release Summary:

MCR splitter takes signal from transmitter and sends two identical or different signals to receiving devices for monitoring, recording, or control. Input and two output ranges can be selected via DIP switches. Selectable analog signal ranges include 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, 0 to l0 mA, 0 to l0 V, 0 to 5 V and 1 to 5 V. All analog range options are pre-configured and stored, eliminating need for calibration.

Phoenix Contact Introduces a Configurable Analog Converter and Splitter in One

Harrisburg, PA -- Phoenix Contact introduces a new analog splitter module used to convert, isolate and split industry standard analog signal ranges. The MCR splitter takes a signal from a transmitter and sends two identical or different signals to two receiving devices for monitoring, recording or control. The input and two output ranges can be selected via DIP switches. The selectable analog signal ranges include 4-20mA, 0-20mA, 0-l0mA, 0-l0V, 0-5V and 1-5V. All analog range options are pre-configured and stored using a micro-processor based design, which eliminates the need for calibration. Once the DIP switches are set, the module is configured to the setting and ready for immediate field installation. The unique design that combines conversion, isolation, noise filtering, amplification and splitting makes it suitable for custody transfer applications for the pipeline industry. Transformer based 4-way isolation is provided between input, output 1, output 2, and the power supply circuits allowing clean and accurate signal transfer. The module is approved for installation in the safe area or directly in the Class I, Div.2 (Groups A, B, C and D) hazardous location. This approval eliminates the need for bulky expensive explosion proof/purged enclosures, sealed conduits, glands and fittings that are typically used in the Div.2 area applications. The MCR splitter is featured in a compact DIN-rail mount 17.5mm housing which includes plug-in, coded screw terminals, DIP switch settings and wiring diagrams on the side labels for easy and safe wiring, configuration and maintenance. Phoenix Contact Inc. Quality System is registered to ISO 9001: 1994 - Quality Systems Model for Quality Assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing. Information on the MCR splitter is available from Phoenix Contact Inc., Technical Service Department, P.O.
