Mechanicsburg, PA - Automation Systems Interconnect Inc. (ASI) is pleased to announce the introduction of a new "Universal Programmable" analog signal conditioner. The CA-PI/PO DIN rail mounted signal conditioner can be programmed to accept over 130 different input and output signal combinations, thereby eliminating the need to stock a variety of signal converters. The user can select from nineteen different input signal ranges and seven different output ranges via programming a series of DIP switches. This versatile unit also monitors transmitter line status and can send an alarm signal in the event of transmitter failure.
A unique feature of the CA series signal conditioner is that it can also be used to power a loop-powered transmitter, eliminating the need for additional components. The unit is highly accurate, has user adjustable zero and span, and provides 3 kV of isolation. For ease of installation and system maintenance, the unit is enclosed in a slim DIN rail mountable housing with pluggable terminal blocks for the I/O connections.
