Baumer Electric Introduces Extended Line of Analog Output Inductive Sensors

Southington, Conn. -January 23, 2002. Baumer Electric has introduced an extended line of innovative, self-contained inductive analog sensors that offer increased installation flexibility for precision gauging and measuring applications.

The newest inductive analog sensors in the Baumer line offer highly precise measurement and linear output of distance measurements with accuracy to one micron. For smaller operating environments, short-bodied tubular 18 mm sensors measuring only 32 mm in length offer the same range and repeatability of long body tubular sensors. Also for small space applications, new inductive analog sensors are available in easy-to-mount 12 mm side-facing square bodies and 20mm flat-pack designs with depths of only 12 mm.

Baumer inductive analog sensors offer measuring ranges from 1 to 10 mm, with repeatability of 0.001 mm to 0.01mm. Voltage outputs available are 1 to 9 VDC or 4 to 20mA with 0 to 20 mA in high-resolution versions. Supply voltage ranges from 12 to 30 VDC. In addition to the new body styles, inductive analog sensors are available in 12 mm, 18 mm and 30 mm tubular housings. Easily integrated into control systems, these sensors can detect any metal target and are ideal for distance/level measurement applications. These sensors are insensitive to harsh industrial environments containing dirt, humidity, dust and oil, and are IP 67 protected.
