Analog Input Card offers 30 MS/s sampling rate.

Press Release Summary:

High-speed, Model PCI-1714 streams continuous data from analog samples to host memory. Simultaneous sampling is provided on all 4 input channels through dedicated A/D converters. Trigger modes include software triggering, internal and external pacer triggering, post trigger acquisition, delay trigger acquisition, and pre-trigger acquisition. Card includes software for auto calibration, so no variable resistor trimming is necessary.

Ultra-High Sampling Rate Analog Input Card by Advantech

Accurate, high-frequency sampling with high response time is a problem without ultra-high sampling rates. With a market-leading sampling rate of 30 MS/s, the new PCI-1714 analog input card solves this problem.

Cincinnati, Ohio (April 5, 2004)- Advantech Corporation, Industrial Automation Group announced today the release of PCI-1714, an ultra-high-speed analog input card that is designed for streaming continuous data from analog samples to host memory. At 30 MS/s, the PCI-1714 has surpassed most other analog input cards that are currently available on the market. Dedicated A/D converters are used for each of the 4 input channels and a selection of trigger modes makes accurate sampling a breeze.

Simultaneous Sampling through Dedicated A/D Converters
Instead of sharing a converter, PCI-1714 offers four dedicated A/D converters. This means that you can run the ultra-high 30 MS/s sampling rate on all four channels simultaneously, making it highly suitable for dynamic and transient signal measurements; for example, LVDS applications.

A Selection of Trigger Modes

Several kinds of trigger modes are available for A/D conversion: Software triggering, internal pacer triggering, external pacer triggering, post trigger acquisition, delay trigger acquisition, and pre-trigger acquisition. The software trigger makes it possible to acquire a sample whenever it is needed, the internal pacer triggers continuous high-speed data acquisition, and the external pacer triggers synchronous sampling with external devices. In Post trigger acquisition mode, the PCI-1714 starts when a trigger event is detected and stops. In delay trigger acquisition mode the PCI-1714 is activated after the trigger event (delay number defined in DMA counter). In pre-trigger acquisition mode the PCI-1714 begins when the operation starts and ends when the trigger happens.

Auto Calibration and Drivers

PCI-1714 comes with software for convenient auto calibration, so no variable resistor trimming is necessary. This utility and drivers are available for Windows XP/2000/98. The LabVIEW driver for PCI-1714 will be available at the end of Q2

PCI-1714 is available now and ready to meet high-frequency measurement requirements.
