Exacq Technologies Introduces CM-Series Multifunction Analog I/O Boards for PCI Bus

Low cost, processor-based general purpose I/O boards for real-time data acquisition

INDIANAPOLIS - July 23, 2003 - Today Exacq Technologies, Inc. announced immediate availability of its new CM Series Multifunction Analog I/O boards for the PCI Bus. The CM Series combines up to 32 analog inputs at a speed of up to 1 MHz and 16 Bit precision, built-in memory and a dedicated processor for real-time accuracy at new groundbreaking price points for the industry. Utilizing a local digital signal processor (DSP), 16 MB of onboard memory, and PCI bus mastering, the new CM Series is able to provide glitch-free capture and/or playback of analog signals with nearly unlimited lengths, even with a non-real-time PC operating system. This unique design is offered at a price point far below older, processor-based data acquisition products currently on the market.

"The CM Series provides data acquisition professionals with a high-speed multifunction board, with 16 Bit precision and a processor for real-time accuracy at a price point equivalent to that of non-processor based products currently on the market" said Dan Rittman, President of Exacq Technologies, Inc. "With up to 32 inputs sampled at up to 1 MHz and flexible triggering, the CM Series is ideal for high-speed automation and control applications."

Processor-based design for real-time acquisition

The CM Series utilizes an on-board, 143 MHz, 32-bit DSP that allows unprecedented functionality and real-time accuracy for a data acquisition board of this price point. The CM Series offers up to 32 single-ended or 16 differential mode inputs sampled at up to 1 MHz, 16 Bit resolution, 16 MB local acquisition memory, up to 32 Digital I/Os synchronous with analog I/O, up to two waveform-quality output channels with up to 16 MB local waveform memory, flexible triggering modes, and three counter/timers. A high-gain option is available.

Extensive Software Tools included

Each CM Series product comes with a full complement of tools, drivers and sample source code. Exacq Control Center(TM) is a complete configuration utility for all Exacq Hardware. Exacq Bench(TM) provides a wealth of measurement tools, including an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, waveform generator, DC voltage generator, logic analyzer, multimeter and a strip chart recorder. Complete source code for Exacq Bench is included at no charge. Exacq SDK(TM) is a complete software developer's kit with a large library of source code for C++, Visual Basic, LabVIEW, MATLAB and TestPoint, and is also included at no charge. CM Series products work under Windows XP, 2000, Me, 98, and Linux.

Exacq CM Series Pricing and Availability

The entire line of Exacq CM Series PCI bus products are available immediately, along with a complete line of associated cables and connectors. List pricing ranges from $595 to $1,095.
