Analog Converters are approved for hazardous locations.

Press Release Summary:

Din rail mounted C.A.I.S. UNI multifunction analog converters convert voltage, current, resistance temperature devices (RTDs), and thermocouple signals to standard process levels. They offer plug-in wiring and short-circuit proof outputs. C.A.I.S.-E family includes four multifunction analog signal converters plus single function models to perform specific analog signal conversion. All have 3-way electrical isolation. Units are UL 1604 Class I, Div. 2 approved.

Original Press Release:

Analog Converters Rated Class 1, Div. 2

Irving, Texas, October 22, 2001 - Entrelec's single and multifunction analog converters now feature approval for UL 1604 Class I, Div. 2 Groups A, B, C, and D hazardous locations and
nonhazardous locations. These compact, 22.5 mm wide, DIN rail mounted converters, accept a wide range of input signals and supply standard voltage and current outputs. The full line
includes the C.A.I.S. UNI family for full features and high performance and the C.A.I.S-E family for popular analog signal conversion applications.

The C.A.I.S. UNI models, including five multifunction units, convert voltage, current, resistance temperature devices (RTDs), and thermocouple signals to standard process levels. The family
offers convenient plug-in wiring and short-circuit proof outputs. The C.A.I.S.-E family includes four multifunction analog signal converters plus a wide range of single function models to perform a specific analog signal conversion. All models, multifunction and single function, feature 3-way electrical isolation.

The C.A.I.S. UNI and E series converters offer adjustments and wire connections conveniently located for easy accessibility. The design includes AC and DC power supply voltage capability,
LED operational status indicators, and temperature coefficient parameters to ±150 ppm/°C.
