The AB5 revolutionizes the use of Nanomotion motors by "LINEARIZING" the voltage to velocity profile at the amplifier level, and completely eliminating the need for custom servo algorithms. Servo tuning and set up are now just like any DC servo motor.

The AB5 amplifier has added functionality by allowing the user to "turn off" (or turn on) the motor static holding force. This provides the benefit of manually moving the linear or rotary mechanism, as a teach mode, and then apply the static holding force when desired.
