Amplifier/Function Generators handle high voltages.

Press Release Summary:

Models 609E-6-FG and 10/10B-FG will operate as dc stable high voltage amplifiers or function generators. They provide sources for externally amplified signals, adjustable high-level dc voltages, and adjustable high-voltage sine, square, or triangle waveforms. Both work over range of 0.2 Hz to 10 kHz. As amplifiers, 609E-6-FG is rated for 0 to ±4 kV and 10/10B-FG is rated for 0 to ±10 kV dc or ac. Both are protected against over-voltage and over-current conditions.

TREK Dual Purpose High-Voltage, High-Power Amplifier and Function Generator Instruments

TREK introduces two new dual purpose high-voltage, high-power amplifiers/function generators, the TREK Model 609E-6-FG and the Model 10/10B-FG. Each model will operate as either a D.C. stable high voltage amplifier or function generator to provide consolidated, dependable, and convenient sources for externally amplified signals, adjustable high-level DC voltages, and adjustable high-voltage sine, square or triangle waveforms, over a range of 0.2Hz to 10kHz.

The TREK Model 609E-6-FG amplifier, 0 to ±4 kV DC or peak AC, provides precise control of bi-polar output voltages with, an output current range of ±20 mA. The TREK Model 10/10B-FG amplifier, 0 to ±10 kV DC or peak AC, provides precise control of bi-polar output voltages with an output current range of 0 to ±10 mA.

In addition, the Model 609E-6-FG can be configured as noninverting, inverting, or differential amplified high-voltage output. The Model 10/10B-FG is configured as a noninverting amplifier. Both units provide a fixed precision gain of 1000 V/V.

Waveform select, frequency range, duty cycle, DC offset, and invert waveform are some of the frequency control capabilities.

Both Models are precision built with an all-solid-state four quadrant design for high slew rates, wide bandwidths, and low-noise operation. They are protected against over-voltage and over-current conditions that may be generated by active loads or by output short circuits to ground.

Voltage and current monitors provide buffered, low-voltage replicas of the high-voltage output and load current for monitoring purposes or for use as feedback signals in a closed-loop system. A Remote High Voltage On/Off feature provides a connection for a remote operation.

Potential applications include multifaceted signal tests and analysis for the assistance and benefit of research technologists and electrical engineers.
