AB2 Amp and HR Motor Combining Coarse and Fine Positioning
Nanomotion introduces the AB2 amplifier, combining two modes of operation; standard servo mode and ultra-high resolution mode (1nm), for use with all HR series motors.
The standard servo mode of the AB2 provides unlimited travels with a wide range of velocity from 1µ/sec to 250mm/sec. The DC mode, activated by an input command, converts the ±10 analog input into an ultrahigh resolution positioning with total travel of ±300nm and sub-nanometer resolution. The AB2 eliminates the need for two tandem axes, as the traditional configuration required for coarse and fine positioning.
