AMP Holding Inc. Receives Order for E-GEN(TM) Electric Workhorse Trucks with Onboard Emergency Generator from Major Transportation Company

Trucks to be Deployed by February 2015

CINCINNATI – AMP Holding Inc. (OTCQB:AMPD), parent company of AMP Trucks Inc., has entered into a purchase agreement with a major transportation company to supply two E-GEN electric Workhorse Walk-In Vans.

This order comes on the heels of AMP Holding's recently announced agreement with a major transportation company to supply 18 all-electric Workhorse E-100 Walk In Vans to be deployed in the Houston-Galveston, Texas area.

In announcing this new order, Steve Burns, CEO of AMP Holding, said, "Having one of the world's major transportation companies choose our E-GEN™ Electric Workhorse Trucks to support their commitment to sustainability is an honor. We look forward to delivering these vehicles and building greater value as we nurture this relationship."

The Workhorse E-GEN truck is the first of its kind: Purpose-built for the package delivery vehicle market, it is expected to offer three-times the miles per gallon than typical gasoline-powered vans in use today. The E-GEN power train is unique in that it employs a 2200 nm permanent magnet motor/generator for propulsion plus a 2.4 Liter internal combustion engine that turns the electric motor in generator mode to recharge the battery pack under certain conditions.

E-GEN is designed for the stop and go nature of package delivery drive cycles: Recharging only occurs if the battery state of charge falls below a predetermined level, the emergency brake is on, the vehicle is in Park and the key is out. Recharging is designed so that it can occur while the driver is making a delivery, loading new packages, or at lunch.

"The Workhorse E-GEN trucks are designed to meet the needs and expectations of daily duty cycles - while saving our buyers an estimated $100,000 per truck in fuel and operational costs, based on today's prices of gasoline and electricity, over a vehicle's life time of use. As such, truck-by-truck, our zero emission driving experience is re-inventing the local delivery vehicle options for fleet buyers across a variety of industries," elaborated Mr. Burns. "With the capability of recharging en-route, range anxiety is virtually eliminated."

Built on the new, narrow track W88 chassis, the E-GEN trucks come with a 60 kWh lithium battery pack featuring Panasonic 18650 cells that provide power to a 2200 nm (268 bhp) permanent magnet motor powerful enough to eliminate the need for a transmission. AMP's proprietary onboard telematics capture thousands of data points to measure vehicle performance and efficiency.

AMP Workhorse E-GEN Trucks are priced to generate a positive return on investment in just over 36 months.
