AMOLEAâ„¢ AT2 Precision Cleaning Solvent Keeps Oilfield Machinery Running Smoothly

EXTON, Pa., April 9, 2018 – Reliable equipment is key to maintaining productivity and safety in oil and gas recovery operations. When components like valves and bearings are not functioning properly because they are laden with grease or sludge, downtime and injuries from equipment failure can occur. To meet this challenge, AGC Chemicals Americas offers AMOLEA™ AT2 fluorinated precision cleaning solvent to dissolve oils, greases, pitches and other contaminants.

AGC will feature AMOLEA AT2 at the Offshore Technology Conference April 30-May 3 in Houston, Texas, at Booth 1121. Non-flammable AMOLEA AT2 has no ozone depletion potential, low global warming potential and is energy efficient due to its low latent heat of vaporization, which allows users to more easily meet environmental regulations. In addition, it is recyclable and can be used with ultrasonic cleaning devices.

Also at the OTC, AGC will showcase AsahiGuard® E-SERIES fluorinated repellents for nonwoven fabrics and LUMIFLON® FEVE resins for corrosion-resistant coatings.

AsahiGuard E-SERIES repellents provide water, oil, gasoline and alcohol repellency and soil and stain release for personal protective equipment used in harsh conditions. Clothing, uniforms and PPEs treated with AsahiGuard repellents shield against extreme weather conditions, last a long time, require less frequent washing and have a shorter drying time. They also maintain their repelling performance through repeated washings. AsahiGuard E-SERIES repellents are PFOA-free (at detectable levels) with improved environmental and biological profiles, and industry regulators have determined them to be safe and effective for use in nonwoven applications.

Coatings formulated with LUMIFLON FEVE resins are ideal for structures like oil rigs and other parts and components located outdoors or exposed to temperature extremes. FEVE resins provide excellent corrosion protection and guard against UV rays, wind, rain, chemicals, dirt and petroleum products and offer significant lifecycle cost advantages over standard polyurethane and polysiloxane coatings.
