Amimon Showcasing CONNEX Zero Latency Wireless Video Link at InterDrone 2015

CEO Ram Ofir will Discuss Precision Videography Requirements and Solutions

San Jose, CA – Amimon, the industry innovator for wireless HD video and control transmission with zero latency, will be a highly featured exhibitor at the upcoming InterDrone Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas on September 9-11. CEO Ram Ofir will make a key presentation, and the company’s popular CONNEX wireless HD video transmission solution will be visible throughout multiple locations at the show.

The importance of zero latency in HD live video broadcasts from UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) is more critical than ever and is the topic for Amimon’s speaking event on September 9 at 1:15pm. The session, hosted by Mr. Ofir, will demonstrate the exciting creative capabilities afforded by zero latency video, along with the components and technology that make it possible.

CONNEX will not only be on display at Amimon’s booth (#507), but will also take part in flight demonstrations performed by Drone Plus on Thursday, September 10 from 5:30- 5:50 pm and on Friday, September 11 from 3:30-3:50 pm at the Yes-Fly zone. The newly updated CONNEX technology will also be showcased at the InterDrone Film Festival. Amimon has submitted an entry, produced by 7LineMedia, under the category of Natural Wonders; winners will be announced at the InterDrone Film Festival Reception on September 9, in the Brasilia Ballroom at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas.

“High definition, zero-latency video is a must for the professional videographer, regardless of the application,” said Ram Ofir, CEO, Amimon. “Our CONNEX system answers the move toward “Precision Videography”, where viewing and controlling in real-time is a must.”

Recent enhancements to the CONNEX system include extended support for a greater variety of gimbals, remote controllers and flight controller telemetry devices as well as improvements to the on-screen display and compatibility with other 5GHz transmitters on the drone.

The CONNEX system is ideal for broadcast, inspection, aerial photography, crowd control and other applications that require real-time control of both camera and drone and features a fail-safe mechanism for gimbal control to help improve safety and reliability. A robust 5GHz radio with sophisticated 2x5 MIMO and automatic channel selection (AFS) allows CONNEX to ensure resilient connectivity at all times, free from interference from UAV controls and other 2.4GHz radio links. CONNEX’s multicasting feature supports up to four screens simultaneously while maintaining excellent HD video. The CONNEX kit includes all antennas, cables and connectors required for air and ground unit setup.
