CONNEX Mini Included in Flying Cage Demonstrations
Las Vegas, NV — In a repeat of last year’s successful demonstrations, Amimon is once again showcasing CONNEX, its innovative, zero-latency HD wireless video link for UAV professionals, at the NAB 2016 Aerial Robotics and Drone Pavilion Flying Cage. Demonstrations are scheduled for Tuesday, April 19 from 11:00 am to 11:20 am and on Wednesday, April 20 from 11:00 am to 11:20 am.
Featured along with the CONNEX flying demonstration is Amimon’s CONNEX Mini, their compact and lightweight zero-latency, plug-and-fly transmission solution designed for smaller drone platforms that retails for only $1,299 MSRP. Partnering with Amimon in the Drone Pavilion are Override Films, a full service video production company specializing in aerial projects; and iCam Copters, a full service film production company specializing movie industry helicopters.

The Aerial Robotics and Drone Pavilion is located in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Pavilion is outfitted with a fully enclosed “flying cage” where attendees can see drone technology in action and learn the ins and outs of deploying aerial technology from industry experts.
Delivering full HD video quality with zero-latency transmission, the plug-and-fly CONNEX is ideal for broadcast, inspection, aerial photography, crowd control and other applications that require real-time control of both camera and drone.
A robust 5GHz radio with sophisticated 2x5 MIMO and automatic channel selection (AFS) allows CONNEX to provide resilient connectivity at all times, free from interference from UAV controls and other 2.4GHz radio links. CONNEX’s multicasting feature supports up to four screens simultaneously while maintaining excellent HD video. The CONNEX kit includes all antennas, cables and connectors required for air and ground unit setup.
CONNEX mini delivers full HD video quality, zero latency, digital transmission reliability, encrypted transmission, and multicasting functionality at distances up to 1,600 feet (500 meters) in an extremely small product configuration ideal for today’s smaller drones. CONNEX mini also provides telemetry and control solutions for S-bus, CANBUS and PPM drone controllers, and features an HDMI video interface on the receiver. It is ideal for aerial video production applications such as local news gathering, inspection and security, as well as for wedding videos and real-estate property documentation “The ability to capture HD video in real-time enables me to capture shots that would otherwise be unattainable using conventional camera support equipment.
