American Fibertek Forms Strategic Alliance with Advanced Industrial Computer & Xtore to Offer Innovative Network Transmission Solutions

Las Vegas, NV (March 28, 2007) - American Fibertek, Inc. (AFI) is proud to announce the formation of a joint development effort with Advanced Industrial Computer, Inc. (AIC) to offer new and innovative server and storage solutions employing AFI's V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution and AIC's proven server and storage solutions. Additionally, AFI has entered into a partnership relationship with Xtore, a recognized leader of storage solutions for OEM as well as Internet Security Appliances, Networking Appliances and Computer Telephony Appliances, among others.

"As security and surveillance applications migrate to the network, the industry needs solutions from a diverse range of manufacturers - one of those in particular being the ability to remotely monitor and detect system status before failures occur," said Jack Fernandes, President and CEO of AFI. "AFI's V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution offers unique environmental monitoring capabilities that are ideally suited for AIC and Xtore's IP based storage solutions. The proven server and storage technology leadership provided by these two companies combined with V'nes' diverse capabilities combines to form a truly unique solution for enterprise level security applications."

AFI's V'nes is the first and only integrated and standardized network transmission system designed specifically for the security marketplace. V'nes delivers extensive networking features and functionality, with an open path, allowing integration of IP products from other manufacturers' products (cameras, servers, video devices, access control, software, etc.) with any combination of V'nes components and software. Additionally, V'nes Scout and Commander Series deliver unprecedented environmental monitoring capabilities to ensure system operators are notified of changing conditions before failures occur. These unique capabilities also preserve server hard disk life by allowing system administrators to take action whenever optimal operating conditions are exceeded.

"AIC is constantly expanding and enhancing its partner relationships to provide our customers with the most comprehensive and technically advanced services and technologies," said Paul Snapp, Senior Director, Business Development and Strategic Accounts of AIC/Xtore. "AFI's V'nes system delivers these qualities in a flexible, open platform range of hardware and software components that complement our offerings."

Since its launch in September of 2006, V'nes has generated unprecedented interest throughout the security and surveillance industry by providing a compelling offering to enterprise level customers. The system's capabilities embody the definition of "convergence" by encompassing all of the functionality and convenience of IP systems technologies into a comprehensive networking solution.

AFI's strength in core fiber technologies, which now also include IP video solutions, allows them to continue to satisfy the most demanding security transmission applications given the intrinsic nature of fiber systems in both analog and IP environments.
