Ambrell Sells EKOHEAT for Automotive Steel Sleeve Preheating
Client preheats steel sleeves prior to insertion into aluminum engine blocks with an Ambrell induction heating system
Scottsville, NY – Ambrell, a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems, has sold an EKOHEAT 75 kW/10 kHz induction heating system to a powertrain components manufacturer. The client will use the EKOHEAT to preheat steel sleeves prior to insertion into aluminum engine blocks. Custom-built coils will be used; tailored coils were built for four and six cylinder engines. Ambrell has extensive experience with steel liner preheating applications - this client has used EKOHEAT systems in other manufacturing lines - which is why Ambrell was chosen once again.
