Ambrell Sells EKOHEAT for a Casting Application

The induction system will be used to melt heavy metals in a graphite furnace

Scottsville, NY – Ambrell, a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems, has sold an EKOHEAT 50 kW/10 kHz induction heating system for a casting application. The client requires a melt 23 kg of heavy metals in a graphite furnace.

The induction coil is put close to the crucible for this application and there is minimal insulation to maximize field strength for the melt. The maximum melting temperature for this application is 1600 °C (2912 °F).

For companies that need complete systems, Ambrell has partnered with Induction Technology Corporation (ITC) to deliver complete melting systems. Systems range from small bench-top melting systems to high-power systems with hydraulic controls. So whether the application involves a few ounces or a couple thousand nominal pounds of steel, there is a system for your application.
