3U Ultra Lightweight Aluminum Rack-Mount Chassis
Need to watch weight? Try the new RCA MX lightweight aluminum 3U PC chassis from CyberResearch, Inc. With a 300W power supply it weighs only 14.0 lb., compared to typical steel 3U chassis at 20 to 35 lb. The ATX motherboard-ready RCA MX also offers eight drive bays plus an automatic fan and temperature monitor.
The CyberResearch® RCA MX lightweight PC chassis weighs slightly less than two-thirds as much as its steel counterpart, the RCF MX. Yet the RCA MX offers all the features of the heavier model: 5 to 7 half-length expansion slots (depending on the motherboard you choose), anti-vibration hold-down bar for expansion cards, front access to four 5.25" and two 3.5" drive bays, two internal 3.5" drive bays, fan and temperature monitor, and lockable front doors to keep unauthorized hands out. A floppy drive is included in one of the front 3.5" drive bays.
In addition to the standard 300W ATX power supply, the RCA MX now offers options for a 400W ATX power supply or your choice of 350W, 400W, or 460W hot-swap power supplies.
