Akro-Mils' Aluminum Dollies Move Productivity in the Right Direction

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: AKRON, OHIO (April 2004) - Akro-Mils, the leader in storage, organization, and transport products, introduces two styles of Aluminum Dollies that are corrosion resistant, lightweight, and durable for use in a variety of transport applications.

The Aluminum Dollies can be used in a variety of material handling applications and free tow motors from handling small loads and short hauls. The heavy-duty formed angle aluminum deck is bolted together with galvanized fasteners and supports loads up to 1,200 lbs. Dollies can be ordered in two designs: lips up or lips down. The 1-1/2" lip turned up creates a contained area to securely stack and move materials. The lips down model provides a flush surface for quick loading, unloading, and easy transportation of oversized materials.

Deck sizes available are 36" x 24", 30" x 18", and 24" x 18". Lips up deck height is 8" and lips down is 6-3/4". The standard 4" x 1-1/4" Resilex or 4" x 1-1/4" Polyolefin plate-style, swivel casters are bolted on the deck. They allow the dollies to maneuver easily and are non-marking and durable for long service life. Aluminum Dollies are made in the USA and ship fully assembled and ready to use. Akro-Mils also offers dollies in wood, steel, and polyethylene.
