FRANTZ entered the conveyor or skate wheel business in the 1930’s with the introduction of a line of roller skates branded “Hustler Speed King”, hence the term skate wheels. Most FRANTZ aluminum wheels are engineered with a labyrinth shield designed to keep dirt and dust out of the wheel ball complement to assure long product life. To address unique application issues, other options are available such as polyurethane tires, special lubrication oils for cold temperature applications and wheels with no lubrication.
