Aluminum Cabinets Provide Protection Against Dust, Moisture and EMI

Tucker, GA Sept. 20, 2004 -- The new Form 4 range of rugged aluminum cabinets from Optima EPS has been designed to provide reliable protection to UL-508 Type 12 specifications, as well as offering options for up to 100dB of EMI attenuation. The cabinets are easily customizable to suit the required height, depth and width, including 19", 24" and 30" widths, up to 44U (77 inches) high.

The combination of NEMA12 protection and RFI shielding in a low weight cabinet makes the flexible Form 4 cabinet suitable for a wide range of applications, such as computer simulation, test & measurement, industrial control and computer storage installations. For maximum flexibility, the reinforced doors are field-reversible and open 112 degrees for access, with concealed hinges and multipoint locking for security and clean lines.

The cabinets include provision for lifting eyes and leveling feet as standard, and the contemporary styling includes a recessed custom logo strip. In addition to custom colors, a full range of customization options is available, with full project management support as required.

For example, the top panel can be secured with quick release fasteners in perforated (with or without filter) or solid format. A mushroom-ventilated and drip-resistant version is also available.

In addition to rack mounting rails, shelves and drawers, Form 4 cabinets can be supplied complete with integrated cooling, cable management and power distribution systems, cutting vital system configuration time for OEMs and systems integrators.
