Interplex Quantum Introduces High-Strength Aluminum Alloy
Ansan, Republic of Korea. Interplex Quantum, a world-class supplier of precision die cast components and a division of Interplex Industries, Inc., announced today that it has introduced its new IK500 alloy, a high-strength, high-fluidity aluminum alloy targeted for use in mobile device housing applications.
IK500 has a tensile strength of 520 MPa, sixty-eight percent higher than ADC12, the world's most common aluminum alloy. It also possesses a low melting point and can be recycled. Thus it is an environmentally friendly alloy.

Interplex Quantum was established in 2004 to provide die casting services utilizing its proprietary center-gate technology to produce aluminum and zinc precision components.
