Aluminized Polyurea Roof Coating Announced by Rhino Linings

San Diego, CA - Rhino Linings Corporation ("Rhino"), a global provider of industrial, municipal and residential protective coatings and foams, is excited to announce its innovative roof coating system for certified commercial roof contractors: Rhino(TM) Eco-Coat(TM). This product helps to reflect sunlight off the roof and to improve the energy efficiency of the building.

Rhino Eco-Coat(TM) is an aromatic, fast-set, 100% solids (Zero VOC), two component (1:1 mix), aluminized polyurea spray-applied, seamless coating for commercial and industrial roofs. It contains UV stabilizers and leafing aluminum pigment to enhance UV stability. Rhino Eco-Coat(TM) can be used as a top coat over Rhino(TM) SPF (Spray Polyurethane Foam) or as a coating for primed metal or concrete roofs. This product offers high tensile strength and abrasion resistance which makes it ideal for resisting the effects of hail, mechanical impact and pest infestations. Once it is applied, the coating can be walked upon within minutes to speed application.

As an overall roofing system, Rhino Eco-Coat(TM) can be used with Rhino(TM) SPF (spray polyurethane foam) with 2.5, 2.8 and 3.0 pound per cubic foot density. SPF and coating systems are cost competitive with other roofing systems and, over a 30-year life span, they have proven to cost between 10% and 50% less on average than comparably insulated membrane roof systems, according to Life Cycle Cost Analysis performed by Michelsen Technologies.

Rhino EcoCoat has been tested and it meets the requirements of Class A roofing system

When properly applied by state-certified roofing or general contractors and at the factory-designated thickness, the Rhino® Roof Coating System will resist hail damage and it qualifies for a 5-Year, No Leak, Roof Coating Limited Warranty.

Rhino Eco-Coat(TM) Roof System assists architects and building owners in earning LEED (The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Credits for their building projects. LEED, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, www.usgbc.org, is a third-party certification program and nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

"We're proud of our roof coatings products," said Pierre Gagnon, President and CEO. "Rhino Linings has a 20+ year history of identifying and manufacturing coatings for foams and an eco-friendly roofing system is a natural extension of our expertise. We're looking to add new certified roofing contractors to our global network of professional roofing applicators to help us become a major world-wide provider of roof coating solutions."

Additional Rhino roof coatings available include Rhino Acrylic Top Coat(TM) applied over foam in hot, dry climates for UV resistance on sloped roofs and Rhino Silicone Top Coat(TM) used in rainy weather and extreme temperature environments.
